In the 4th generation MaxiEcu interfaces, you can choose the version of the connection via Bluetooth or Wifi.
The connection setup process is one-time, i.e. if you change the connection from Bluetooth to Wifi or vice versa – you should follow the appropriate connection procedure. In most new Windows systems, the procedure is automatic and is no different from the process of connecting to other wireless devices.
If, however, any doubts / difficulties arise – below we present the next steps of the process (a detailed description is also available in the manual on pages 3rd and 4th).
Configuring the Bluetooth connection
1. Connect the interface to the OBDII socket in the vehicle – the interface diode light should be green.
2. Enter the bluetooth module in Windows – on the Windows toolbar (next to the date and clock), click the “Bluetooth” icon,
or use the shortcut on the keyboard: “WIN + i” and then select: -> “Devices” -> “Bluetooth and other devices”.
3. If the Bluetooth module is not active – turn on it.
4. Click “Add bluetooth or other device” -> “Bluetooth” and wait for the system to detect the interface.
5. From the list of detected devices, select the interface (the name will include the serial number of your interface), and then click the “Connect” button.
6. Launch the MaxiEcu software. Go to “Settings” (gear icon), then to “Connection Settings” (two arrows icon).
Select the “Bluetooth” connection option and then click “Find”. The software will automatically pair with the interface (the serial number of your interface will appear in the Interface ID bar).
7. Confirm with the “OK” button. After that – you can start the vehicle diagnosis.
NOTE: If the system requires a password, enter: 1234
Configuring the Wifi connection
1. Connect the interface to the OBDII socket in the vehicle – the interface diode light should be green.
2. Enter the Wifi module in Windows – on the Windows toolbar (next to the date and clock), click the “Wifi” icon.
3. From the list of available Wi-Fi networks, select the network that contains the serial number of your interface in its name.
Check the “Connect Automatically” checkbox, and then click “Connect”.
4. Launch the MaxiEcu software. Go to “Settings” (gear icon), then to “Connection Settings” (two arrows icon).
5. Select the connection option “Local network”.
6. Confirm with the “OK” button. After that – you can start the vehicle diagnosis.
